Website recommendation: Nolife-radio

When people ask me what kind of music I like, my first answer is always the same: video game music.  This usually gets reactions anywhere from blank stares to laughter.  I say that’s because video game music represents something only gamers can ever really understand.  Music from a favorite game evokes fond memories of playing the game.  Most video game music is instrumental, making it ideal for multitasking, especially for us ADD folk.  There’s also an undeniable appeal of 8- and 16-bit music sounds that only people who grew up playing games of that era really seem to get.  So how would those of you who understand perfectly what I’m talking about like to have a radio station that plays that kind of music 24/7, commercial-free? Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3) review

While Uncharted: Drake’s fortune was generally well received, it wasn’t a massive media blitz AAA release.  It laid the groundwork for the series and was popular enough to make Sony give its sequel much more attention.  Without a doubt, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is well deserving this spotlight treatment.  This review will assume you’re familiar with the game mechanics from the previous title.  If you haven’t played it or simply want a refresher course, please read my Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune review. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood (PS3) review

Before the release of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, fans were concerned that it would be more like an overpriced expansion to Assassin’s Creed II than a full game in its own right, due mainly to the short time span between the two titles’ launches and the assumption that Brotherhood’s new multiplayer modes would eat up what little development time there was.  But was this actually the case?  As usual, this review will assume you’ve completed the main series up to this point (AC1 and ACII, click for my reviews) for plot and gameplay purposes.
