Disney Universe (PS3) review

Disney has a long history with plenty of classic films, both animation and live action, to its name; this rich history lends itself beautifully to crossover games.  With Kingdom Hearts being a long-running success story that has to be shared with Square-Enix, it’s no surprise that Disney Interactive saw fit to try an in-house cross-over title, albeit with a decidedly different feel.  What we got was Disney Universe. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (PS3) review

Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, and Harry Potter.  If asked what all of these popular IP’s have in common, one who was in the know might well answer “Lego licensed video games!”  That person would be quite correct, in following, to point out that Pirates of the Caribbean has joined the ranks of the block people.  That person might not even be amiss in saying that the Pirates have managed to star in the best “Lego (insert license here)” video game to date. Lost in Shadow (Wii) review

The camera pans around the top of a tall tower.  A boy floats in the air near the edge.  A man wearing a hood walks forth, summons a sword out of thin air, and slashes.  The boy is unharmed, but his shadow slumps to the ground.  The man then picks up the shadow by the neck and hurls it off of the tower.  A more confusing opening scene you’ll rarely see, yet thus begins A Shadow’s Tale… Read more of this post
